She continues her professional development by attending regular postgraduate training, including courses on Bobath Therapy, Sensory Intergration Therapy, Hypermobility and DCD/Dyspraxia. She is a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) and registered with the HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council) and APCP(Association of Paediatric Chartered Physiotherapists). Melanie has three lively teenage children who keep her on her toes and give her a valuable insight into the busy lives families lead today. This helps to provide realistic expectations of what is achievable for families at home on a daily basis in terms of treatment and therapy programmes.
Melanie loves working with children and their families, whether it be a short treatment block or time spent over many years as the child grows and develops. Being part of the progress children make and watching them achieve their goals, big or small is the best part of the job!
